ADRI members attended the 2019 annual conference of the PAA

Professor Leiwen Jiang and colleagues from the Asian Demography Research Institute ADRI at Shanghai University attended the 2019 annual conference of the Population Association of America (PAA).

 

The conference was held in Austin, Texas, April 10th-13th. Seven people from (ADRI) attended. They introduced the research, teaching, training and international exchange achievements of ADRI, as well as its role as the headquarters of the Asian Meta Centre for Population and Sustainable Development Analysis.

 

 

The Population Association of America is an internationally renowned professional organization in the field of demography, and its annual conference is one the world’s most prominent academic conferences in the field. The papers admitted by the conference are all strictly selected. The annual conferences not only gather the world's top experts and scholars in the field of demography, they also serve as an important platform for displaying the latest research results on demography. Major achievements in demography during in the past year are reviewed at the conference, making it a major source for information in the field of demography worldwide. The 2019 conference included more than 200 sub-forums and more than 10 poster-forums, with more than 1000 experts and scholars, government officials, and NGO personnel from around the world.
